Zehad Al Mehedi is the Deputy Manager, Media and Engagement at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.
With eight years of experience across research communications, strategic media engagement, and institutional outreach, he works to translate complex policy research into accessible public narratives. His responsibilities span media relations, copy-editing, and the management of high-profile national and international events. Alongside his corporate track, he also serves as General Secretary of the Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF); the country’s apex body for debate and dialogue.
Mehedi brings to his work an equally strong background in the creative arts. He is a photographer and voice artist, and has worked as an assistant director at e-Motion Films. His career spans multiple sectors: he began as a debate trainer for the BRAC Education Program, subsequently worked as a Data Assistant at Concern Universal Bangladesh, and served as a Language Specialist at what3words. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka.
