Tanvir Ahmed Mozumder is a Research Coordinator under the Economic Growth and Development cluster at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), Brac University.
Tanvir joined BIGD as a Research Associate. At BIGD, Tanvir has worked on the Tobacco Taxation Research and Dissemination, and Advancing Women’s Right of Access to Information in Bangladesh projects. He has co-authored The Economics of Tobacco Taxation in Bangladesh report and has contributed to the institute’s flagship publication, State of Cities 2018: Water Governance in Dhaka.
Before joining BIGD, Tanvir worked as Research Associate in Global Development & Research Initiative (GDRI). Tanvir holds a Master’s in Actuarial Science from the University of Dhaka. He has completed his Bachelor’s in Statistics from Khulna University. His areas of research are development economics, psychology and economics, and education.
