Sumantta Sarker Arpon is a Trainee Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University, under the Young Research Fellowship (YRF) Program 2026.
His last appointment was as a Field Researcher at BIGD, where he conducted a qualitative study evaluating the impact of an earlier intervention regarding the education of children with disabilities. Prior to his experiences with BIGD, Sumantta worked on the research project “Political Parties and Awareness,” under the Centennial Research Grant by the University of Dhaka.
He completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Dhaka, and is currently undertaking his Master’s degree in Governance Studies, Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka.
