Riana Islam is a Research Associate under the Environment and Climate Change cluster at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University. 

Riana completed the Young Researcher’s Fellowship (YRF) programme as a Trainee Research Associate at BIGD. Previously, she was attached to Subarta Trust as a researcher. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s from the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka. Her Master’s specialization was in Social Development.
