Raisa Adiba has joined BIGD as a Programme Coordinator. Raisa brings a powerful blend of non-profit experience and private sector ingenuity to BIGD. Her journey began in 2018 as a corporate banker at HSBC, navigating the complexities of industries like steel, cement, shipping, and power. There, she championed sustainable finance, leaving a lasting mark on each sector. Driven by a desire to bridge the gap between profit and purpose, Raisa transitioned to the world of international development. As Program Manager at Traidcraft Exchange, she tackled crucial EU-funded interventions, building global partnerships and crafting theory of change for strategic portfolios. Her most impactful feat in her last appointment was bringing deep rural communities into the formal value chain for agriculture, tea, fashion, and beyond. This groundbreaking work blurred the lines between private and non-profit, empowering marginalized populations and paving the way for inclusive prosperity. Raisa’s academic foundation lies in a Business Administration degree from IBA, University of Dhaka. Beyond numbers, she’s a passionate writer, gracing national newspapers with her thoughtful insights. And on the research front, she dives into understanding the intricate relationship between gender and financial inclusion.
