Patrick Olobo is a researcher at the BRAC Uganda’s Independent Evaluation Research Cell (IERC). He joined BRAC in 2009 as a research associate and has since worked on carrying out evaluations of BRAC programs in Africa. He has previously worked in a number of countries including BRAC Tanzania where he served as the research lead. He also has experience working in South Sudan, Sierra Leone and Liberia and has varied experience doing research on programs in health, agriculture and education. His research interests are focused around the use of applied research and behavioural analysis, to create informative, data-driven evidence to influence decision making at all levels.

He obtained his bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Makerere University Kampala and a master’s degree in development economics from Brandeis University.
