Inteemum Ahsan

Inteemum Ahsan is a Research Associate at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

He previously completed the Young Researchers’ Fellowship at BIGD.

Inteemum completed his undergraduate with a double major in Sociology and Political Science from Haverford College this year. His theses explored the reasons behind the failure in the consolidation of different protest segments during the Jordanian chapter of the 2011 Arab Uprisings.

Wasima Sadia

Wasima Sadia is a Senior Programme Associate under the Executive cluster at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Wasima previously worked at the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) in their Research and Policy Advocacy department. She was engaged in conducting research projects and arranging policy advocacy-related events. Prior to this role, she was an Associate Consultant at a research and consulting firm, where she managed projects commissioned by various INGOs, NGOs and government organizations.

Wasima has completed her Master’s in Development Economics from South Asian University and her BBA from North South University, majoring in Finance and Accounting.

Md. Anik Islam

Md. Anik Islam is a Research Associate at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Anik previously completed the Young Researchers’ Fellowship at BIGD.

Md. Anik Islam completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. During his undergraduate, he participated in the SAESM Group Research Project, which focused on presenting biofortification as a solution to reduce the widespread malnutrition in South Asia.

Mahi Zahin Chowdhury

Mahi Zahin Chowdhury is a Research Associate under the Economic cluster at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University. 

Previously Zahin was a Trainee Research Associate under the Young Researchers’ Fellowship (YRF) program at BIGD. He completed his Bachelor of Social Science in Development Studies from the University of Dhaka.

Anika Tasnim Prapti

Anika Tasnim Prapti is a Research Associate at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Prapti completed the Young Researchers’ Fellowship at BIGD. Previously, she worked with the Free Being Me Bangladesh initiative, run by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), where she served as a trainer. Additionally, she worked as a member of the YESS Girls’ Movement National Task Force, an international exchange program in partnership with the Norwegian government agency, NOREC. She completed her Master’s and Bachelor’s in Development Studies from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

Md. Al-Mamun

Md. Al-Mamun is a Research Associate (Mathkendra) at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Before joining BIGD, Mamun served as a Research Assistant at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh(icddr,b), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mamun completed his Master’s and Bachelor’s in Sociology from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University.

Zarine Anan Khondoker

Zarine Anan Khondoker is a Programme Coordinator at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Zarine previously worked as an Assistant National Communications Specialist at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Before that, she spent three years with the Communications and Knowledge Management team at BIGD. She started her career in 2018 as a Management Trainee at Unilever Bangladesh Limited. At BIGD, she is the key point of contact for program management of the Foundation Project, which convenes a consortium of think tanks in Bangladesh, with the aim of strengthening the impact of knowledge and building the capacity of young researchers.

She completed her BBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, and has completed her Master of Development Studies from the same university.

Saadman Faisal

Saadman is a Programme Coordinator under the Executive cluster at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

He started his career at BRAC as a Programme Coordination Officer. He previously worked at BIGD in the Research, Policy and Governance (RPG) project as a Senior Program Associate. He also worked as a short-term consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), researching on issues such as energy transition and sustainable finance.

Saadman completed his Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University and also holds a Master’s in Economics from North South University. He completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Bangladesh University of Professionals.
