Mohammad Saiful Islam, FCA, is the Head of the Finance and Accounts department at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.

Saiful started his career at BRAC as an Officer of Internal Audit in 2008. He was promoted to Deputy General Manager of Accounts before joining BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health in 2014 as the in-charge of the Finance department. He left JPGSPH in 2016 and worked in a senior strategic roles in various commercial groups. Before joining BIGD, he worked as General Manager, Accounts, at Jamuna Group for two years, where he was involved with a cross-functional team for adopting sound internal control system over procurement management, capturing significant market share, increasing production efficiency, fixed assets management, inventory management, implementation of ERP, and effective MIS implementation.

Saiful, a seasoned Fellow Chartered Accountant, has vast technical knowledge and practical experience in accounts, finance, grant management, tax planning, internal audit, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs). He has a Master of Business Studies from Dhaka College under the National University.
