Mirza Mahmuda Ferdous is a Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), Brac University.  

She previously held the position of Trainee Research Associate focusing on the quantitative stream within the Young Researchers’ Fellowship (YRF) 2023 program at BIGD. During her postgraduate studies, she co-authored a paper addressing Knowledge Hiding Behavior, which was presented at the 6th International Conference on Business and Economics at the University of Dhaka. She commenced her professional journey as a Coordinator for Project Revive, a collaborative effort by UNDP Bangladesh and the Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE) Center, University of Dhaka, aimed at supporting CMSMEs adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic across Bangladesh. She was engaged with various organizations, including volunteering for Jaago Foundation, LightCastle Partners, SME Foundation, and the Active Citizen Programme of the British Council. She has a diverse spectrum of research interests, spanning from Applied Economics, Environmental Economics, and Circular Economy to enhance resource optimization and reuse, to Financial Inclusion and International Trade.

Her academic background includes a BBA and MBA in Organizational Strategy and Leadership from the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.
