Md. Raied Arman

Md. Raied Arman, who is a Senior Research Associate under the Economic Growth and Development Cluster, joined BIGD as a Research Associate in March 2019. He is currently working under multiple projects including the “Women’s Skill Development for Freelancing Marketplaces (WSDFM)” project and different cohorts of the “Ultra Poor Graduation Program (UPGP)”. His duties include – analysing data, report writing, communicating with research partners, preparing questionnaire and training enumerators, among others.

Since his student life, he had an acute interest in research and he competed and won accolades in the international level. In January 2018, he won the Best Paper Award in the 14th South Asian Economics Students’ Meet (SAESM). He also assisted in multiple research projects under the supervision of his teachers while he was a university student prior to joining BIGD. Among these are projects under the banner of the United Nations and Policy Research Institute.

Raied holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka. Deeply intrigued by human psychology, Raied aspires to explore the realms of Behavioural Economics as much as possible as a researcher. He also has keen interest in data visualization and wants to utilize the big data resources to produce cutting edge research.
