Md. Karimul Islam is a Senior Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.
Prior to this, he was a Trainee Research Associate under the quantitative stream of the Young Researchers Fellowship (YRF) program. Before working at BIGD, he was a Research Assistant at the Delta Research Initiative, Khulna, Bangladesh, where he carried out the responsibilities of fieldwork, documentation, data transcription, and data analysis. Additionally, he has also worked with Change Initiative as a Research Assistant and SNV Netherlands Development Organization on several projects in the position of rapporteur in the southwestern coastal cities of Bangladesh.
Karimul completed his Master’s and Bachelor’s in Economics from Khulna University, obtaining the highest distinction in his bachelor’s degree.
