Md. Abdul Awal is the Coordinator of the Data and Field Management department at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.
He joined BIGD as a Senior Data Associate. Awal started his career at ICDDRB as a Field Research Assistant in 2011. Before joining BIGD, he was a Senior Research Analyst at the Bangladesh Office of Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) for nine years, where he was involved with survey designing and coding, data collection planning, field staff training, coordinating the survey team, survey data cleaning, primary analysis, and report writing. He has extensive expertise in Survey CTO and Stata. He also has vast experience with admin and productivity data of the Readymade Garments Industry of Bangladesh.
Awal has a Master’s in Business Studies from National University.
