Marjan Hossain is a Senior Research Associate under the Gender and Social Development cluster at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.
Marjan joined BIGD as a Research Associate in 2020, under the then Research, Policy, and Governance cluster. Prior to joining BIGD, Marjan worked as a Research Officer at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), after which she worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre of Urban Studies for Sustainable Development, East West University.
Marjan has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) and a Master’s degree in Economics from East West University. Her research primarily focuses on education, gender, and climate-related issues.
