Maisha Bint Salam is a Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), Brac University.
Recently completing the Young Researchers’ Fellowship Program, Maisha is excited to embark on her new journey as a Research Associate for BIGD. She is dedicated to leveraging her interdisciplinary background and her newly acquired research skills to address pressing development issues head-on. Maisha’s current research interests include social inequality and access to opportunities, housing ecosystems in urban informal settlements, sustainability of urban informal economy, effects of climate change on vulnerable populations and urban infrastructure.
Maisha holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering from BUET and a Master’s degree in Development Studies from BRAC University.
