Khadija Akter Sonia is a Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), Brac University.
Previously, she worked as a Trainee Research Associate (TRA) within the quantitative stream of BIGD’s Young Researchers Fellowship (YRF) programme. Before joining here, she was working as a Research Assistant at the Department of Population Sciences at the University of Dhaka. In addition, she has contributed to various research projects supported by national and international development agencies, including KIT Royal Tropical Institute, Pathfinder International Bangladesh, USAID, and IntraHealth International. She is primarily interested in studying the underlying causes of social and structural inequality, with a particular emphasis on, public health, the health system, health economics, climate change, and child development.
Sonia completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and a Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in Population Sciences from the University of Dhaka.
