Jahid Hossain is a Trainee Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University, under the Young Research Fellowship (YRF) Program 2026.
His last appointment was as a Research Assistant at the Dacca Institute of Research and Analytics (DAIRA), where he worked on projects covering regional connectivity and economic corridor governance, and the legislative practices of ordinance outcomes. Jahid earlier worked as a Research Intern at DAIRA, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Centre on Budget and Policy, a research center at the University of Dhaka, contributing to the project “Student’s Perspective on Governance and Reform Priorities,” in collaboration with UNDP.
He completed his MSS in Development Studies from the University of Dhaka, following his BSS in Development Studies from the same university.
