Fariza Rahman is a Research Associate at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), Brac University. Prior to this, she was a Trainee Research Associate under the qualitative stream of the Young Researchers Fellowship (YRF) program. Fariza completed her B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a major in Environmental Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2021. She is currently pursuing a Master of Development Studies at Brac University. Fariza’s primary research interest lies in environmental economics, environmental management, climate change, and climate finance. She wants to study the effect of the current policies and strategies on people, the nature of collective action taken by communities to cope, and how to improve the status quo. Her other areas of interest are education, politics, and mental health.
