Esau Tugume holds the position of research associate since June 2014. He manages research projects on agriculture, procurement transparency, and education in Uganda. His research interest includes agriculture, skills development, and SME. Before joining IERC, he worked as an area coordinator at BRAC Uganda’s Agriculture Extension Programme for two years. He also worked as a teaching assistant at Mountains of the Moon University and was a visiting research fellow at the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a peer reviewer for the African Journal of Agriculture Sciences. Esau is experienced in writing proposals, implementation of research projects as well as interventions of agriculture programs in rural farming communities. He holds a Master of Science in Agro-Ecology from Uganda Martyrs University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Mountains of the Moon University, Fort Portal.
