Denise Ferris has been working as a research fellow at IERC since December 2014 in BRAC Uganda. During this time, she managed impact evaluation studies related to education scholarship for students, women’s empowerment using a social epidemiological lens, and childcare services to improve women’s labour market outcomes. Her research interests lie in reproductive health, gender-based violence, and community health promotion. Before joining BRAC, she worked as a public health coordinator in Kasulu, Tanzania. Denise completed a Master of Arts in Integrated Studies from the Athabasca University and a Bachelors degree in Health and Society from the University of Calgary.
