Ayesha Noor is an Initiative Coordinator under the BRAC-LSE Ultra-poverty and Environment (BLUE) initiative at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), Brac University. 

Ayesha has over a decade of experience in research and development, having commenced her career at Unnayan Shamannay in 2012. Her most recent role was as the National Expert Gender and Economics at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Her areas of expertise encompass quality research, multi-agency coordination, and disaster risk insurance schemes within the realm of social protection. 

Ayesha holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Department of Economics at the University of Dhaka, as well as an MSc in Urban Management and Development from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Additionally, she is a Kabir Banerjee Predoctoral Fellow for 2023, with the London School of Economics as her host institution.
