Asif M. Shahan, PhD, is a Visiting Research Fellow at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University.
He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka. His key areas of research are: the politics-administration relationship, the emergence, evolution, and performance of democratic political institutions especially the institutions of accountability, performance-based accountability, and the politics of policy process.
Dr Shahan has a PhD in Political Science and a Master’s of Public Administration from George Mason University, USA.
