Aloka Ahmed Oishy is a Research Associate under the Young Researchers’ Fellowship (YRF) programme.
She previously completed the Young Researchers’ Fellowship 2023/24 at BIGD in the quantitative stream. Previously she was the Deputy Head of HR and Documentation in Project Pothchola, a project that works for the development of the children of sex workers. Aloka Ahmed Oishy is passionate about research design and data analysis. She aspires to become a development economist. Her research interests include economic development, poverty, inequality, gender and different micro and macroeconomic issues.
Aloka Ahmed Oishy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Dhaka. She has also completed a Master’s degree in Development Studies with a focus on Development Economics from the same university.
