Aloka Ahmed Oishy is a Research Associate under the Gender and Social Development cluster at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University. 

Previously, Aloka was a Trainee Research Associate in the quantitative stream under the Young Researchers Fellowship programme.  She also served as the Deputy Head of HR and Documentation in Project Pothchola, a project that works for the development of the children of sex workers. Aloka completed her Master’s in Development Studies with a focus on Development Economics and her Bachelor’s in Development Studies from the from the University of Dhaka.
