Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque is a Professor of Economics and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at East West University in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also holds notable positions, including the Executive Director of the Asian Center for Development, Director of Economic Research Group and a member of the Steering and Advisory Committees of the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) and a member of the South Asian Network for Environmental Law and Policy (SANEL). Professor Haque is an environmental economist with extensive experience in teaching and research within the field of climate change, agriculture, and urban issues in developing countries with a focus on South Asia in general and Bangladesh in particular. He worked with various national and international organizations, including the World Bank, IUCN, Save the Children, IFC, SANDEE, SANEI, UNDP and GIZ. He completed his doctoral degree from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada in Natural Resource Economics.
