Stories of Change

Stories of Change is a real-life documentary about the lives of 5 women from 16 to 60 years of age, coming from different walks of life, from different professions, religions and regions of Bangladesh. Different yet common in their dreams, these women face life’s challenges with confidence and belief in their dreams. These conversations are discussions and reflections by the five protagonists about the struggles and triumphs in their individual lives and dreams they hold for a better future. Stories of Change travel through Bangladesh, through its hills, rivers and lanes, through generations, following the narratives of a 16-year-old cricketer to a 60-year-old activist. Together it attempts to portray a different picture of Bangladeshi women – of women who dare to live out their dreams. The documentary was produced by the Pathways of Women’s Empowerment Research Program of BRAC Development Institute, BRAC University, in collaboration with BEGINNING.
