The International Economic Association has two honorific fellowship awards: the Schumpeter-Haberler Distinguished Fellow and IEA Fellow. IEA Fellows are announced every year. Professor Siddiqur Rahman Osmani is a prominent Bangladeshi Economics educator. He is a member of the Bangladesh Economics Association (general secretary 1982-1983), the American Economics Association, and the International Economics Association. He has been a Professor of Economics at Ulster University, Belfast, United Kingdom, since 1993. He is also a visiting professor for the Master of Development Studies (MDS) program at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD).
