At least 22 percent of primary and 30 percent of secondary level students are currently at the risk of learning loss due to long time school closure during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic in the country. A recent survey conducted in rural areas and urban slums also showed that the learning crisis triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic—a consequence of a log, nationwide school closure— has worsened considerably in the past six months across the country. The survey is part of a larger, multi-phase study by Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC) and BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD): COVID-19 Livelihoods and Recovery Panel Survey.
