BIGD values its enumerators a great deal. The quality of any survey depends largely on the enumerators. Before a survey, enumerators are given thorough training, allowing them to learn and gain experience in order to advance their careers in this field. BIGD is always looking for qualified enumerators to help with its ongoing surveys. Job Title: Enumerator

Duty Station: Anywhere in Bangladesh

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveys to obtain data in SurveyCTO
• Identify respondents using the survey area’s and design’s selection criteria
• Cross-check collected data with fellow enumerators
• Document all necessary information/data using the data collection tools supplied
• Report to the supervisor about work progress, issues, and challenges faced in the field
• Obtain permission to collect data in the survey area from the local authority
• Utilize digital data input technologies to collect information (if provided)
• Making sure that data is entered accurately
• Sending the completed interviews at the end of the day
• Double-checking with respondents to fix any data entry errors made by the enumerator
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor/Data and Field Management Team

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Must be passed Bachelor’s/Degree or equivalent
• No previous experience is required (but experience in the relevant field is preferred)
• Have an understanding of the social networking platforms (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.)
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, Gmail, and Google Meet
• Adept in using digital data collection tools like SurveyCTO

How to Apply?

Candidates must submit a hard copy of their CVs directly (by coming to the BIGD office in person) or indirectly (e.g., via postal services, courier, an acquaintance dropping off the interested enumerator’s CV in the BIGD office, and so on).

Only selected candidates will be called for an interview. If selected for the interview, enumerators will have to submit their certificates and relevant documents. The documents are as follows:

1. Photocopy of all certificates
2. Photocopy of NID card
3. Photocopy of Vaccine Certificate
4. Two copies of the passport-size picture
