On 24 July, BIGD hosted an information session on the Research Initiative on Development, Governance, and Economy (RIDGE), a collaborative initiative led by BIGD, CPD, RAPID, and PRI. The event drew a lively audience of social science students, early-career researchers, and young professionals from Bangladesh’s education and research sectors.
The session offered a deeper look at the grant, outlined the application process, and offered attendees an opportunity to connect with our mentors. It concluded with a lively Q&A, where RIDGE mentors Dr. Munshi Sulaiman, Director of Research at BIGD, and Dr. Atonu Rabbani, Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka, answered questions on developing strong research ideas, thinking creatively within a limited budget, and how RIDGE aims to support young researchers through mentorship and networking opportunities across the country.
