On 27 July, BIGD held an engaging information-sharing session at Khulna University as part of its RIDGE Campus Connect series. The Research Initiative on Development, Governance, and Economy (RIDGE) is a competitive research fund managed by BIGD on behalf of a consortium of four leading think tanks: CPD, RAPID, PRI, and BIGD.
Nearly 300 students, early-career researchers, and young professionals joined the session, which was organised in collaboration with the Khulna University Career Club and the Social Science School.
Special guests Professor SK. Sharafat Hossain (Dean of the Social Science School), Dr Khan Mehedi Hasan (Professor, Economics Discipline), and Dr Md. Nazmus Sadat (Director of Student Affairs) highlighted the importance of collaboration in research and encouraged students to push their boundaries. Dr Imran Matin, Executive Director of BIGD, spoke about the need to address knowledge inequities and shared how RIDGE aims to support aspiring researchers through structured guidance and mentorship opportunities.
