BIGD hosted a reflection workshop at the BRAC Centre, Dhaka, bringing together key partners from icddr,b, BRAC IED, Synergos, Frameworks Institute, Bangladesh ECD Network (BEN), and Porticus.
The workshop centred on evaluation findings from the Whole Child Development (WCD) program, with in-depth reflection on three key themes: workforce motivation, play materials and learning environments, and dynamics for influencing policy actors. Participants engaged in structured discussions and exercises to distil lessons from the program and identify practical steps forward. The sessions underscored the need to align training with frontline realities, address challenges in under-resourced service centres, and strengthen coordinated policy engagement. The workshop concluded with a shared commitment to deeper collaboration and co-creation to strengthen systems for implementing the ECCD Policy 2013 across Bangladesh.
