On 24 June 2018, BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University and the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) under the Implementation Monitoring & Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning (MoP) signed the contract for DIMAPPP. According to this contract, BIGD has been the consultant for the ‘Citizen Engagement’ component of the project. The Treasurer of BRAC University, Mr. Shib Narayan Kairy, on behalf of BIGD, signed the contract with the Director General of CPTU, Md. Faruque Hossain.

BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD) participated in generating the National Human Development Report 2021 working alongside the Economic Relations Division (ERD) of the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Dr Imran Matin, Excecutive Director, BIGD contributed a chapter titled, "Youth Employment: A Key to Future Human Development of Bangladesh" in the National Human Development Report 2021 which explores the issue of access to decent employment for youth.

BIGD signed MoU with Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme, a Government of Bangladesh (GOB) and UNDP supported programme, implemented by ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology to introduce a citizen-centric culture of innovation in civil service to improve public service delivery and make services more inclusive, affordable, reliable and easier to access.
