It was organised by the Insitute of Governance Studies (IGS) (Now BIGD), BRAC University, in collaboration with the Center for Development Studies (CDS), University of Bath, UK to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Independence of Bangladesh. The various chapters of this book scrutinise governance reforms, administrative changes, theorotical debates, political trends, and related issues in Bangladesh such as poverty alleviation, decentratlization, participation, sutainability, urbanisation, migration, rural development etc. The different writers in this book try to identify major challenges and find future prospects for the good governance agenda in the context of ground realities of Bangladesh.
