Farzana Siddika joined BIGD in May 2017 as a Research Associate under the Urban, Climate Change and Environment cluster of BIGD. She is involved with the research team for BIGD’s annual flagship report State of Cities (SoC). Her responsibilities include research assistance, data analysis and report writing etc.
Farzana obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees in Geography and Environment from the University of Dhaka. She also received a Joint M.Sc. degree in ‘Geography of Environmental Risk and Human Security ‘from the University of Bonn and United Nations University, Bonn, Germany. She attended a two-week long intensive training on ‘Crisis Management and Disaster Response’ from the academy of Crisis Management, Emergency Planning and Civil Protection in Ahrweiler, Germany.
Her research interest areas include Environmental Management, Climate Change Adaptation, Ecosystem and Biodiversity, Sustainable Urban Development.
