Kaneta Zillur joined BIGD in July 2015. As a Research Associate, she is currently working under the Economic Growth and Development cluster of the institute. She was one of the contributing writers of the State of Governance Bangladesh 2014-2015 report.
Apart from her research involvement, Kaneta is also involved in program related activities as Program Support Officer in the Public Procurement Reform Project II, a project BIGD is carrying out in collaboration with the Central Procurement Technical Unit and with support from the World Bank Group.
In BIGD, she works on topics ranging from governance to urban poverty. She currently started working on a project that aims to understand the urban poverty dynamics through a qualitative lens.
Kaneta received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Boston University, USA. For her academic achievements, she was awarded a position in the prestigious Dean’s List of the College of Arts and Science at Boston University. During her studies, her prime area of interest was in international development and macro theory.
