Mahmudul Alam Talukdar (Rasel)
Mahmudul Alam Talukdar (Rasel) is currently working at BIGD as Communications Associate. Earlier, he joined BIGD in May 2012 as a Project Assistant under the project Affiliated Network for Social Accountability- South Asia Region (ANSA_SAR). Since December 2013, he has been working with the BIGD communications team.
At BIGD, he is responsible for developing, preparing and editing informative contents, feedback, posts and comments for website, social media and coordinating management and smooth continuation of the BIGD web site; developing and designing outreach and communications activities, especially in converting research products into communicative materials, support in preparing BIGD media strategies, communication strategies, maintaining rigorous relationship and communications with government officials, stakeholders, parties from CSOs, NGOs, District, Upazila, Thana level government officials; and coordinating all BIGD events including Press meets, Launching, Seminar, Roundtable Discussions, Public Lectures, Talks etc. Prior to joining BIGD, Rasel was engaged in different social activities and completed different successful programmes with the UN Women and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
He has completed Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from Manarat International University (MIU) majoring in Finance and Banking. He is trained on Research Communication, Policy Engagement Communications and formulating communications strategy. He also completed the certificate programme on Environmental Management and Governance from Institute of Governance Studies, BRAC University in collaboration with Natural Resources Institute, University of Manitoba. Personally he is associated with the debating community and attended many National and regional debates. His research area of interest is Governance in Media.
