Senior HR Officer
Md. Musthafizur Rahman Khan joined BIGD as a Project Officer in August 2012 to handle overall field operations of Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in South Asia Region (ANSA-SAR). In 2013, Musthafizur took over the BIGD Human Resources (HR) unit as its In-Charge. He coordinated the merger of HR unit and worked in preparing the HR manual of the institute. Currently he is working as Senior HR Officer at BIGD.
Musthafizur started his professional career in the Kohinoor Chemical Company in 2005 as an Officer –VAT. After serving around two years, he joined the Shishu Polli Plus (UK) in February 2007 as a Manager- HR, Admin and Training, where he developed the procurement module, HR reformation and incorporate staff development training unit with the assistance of in-house resource persons. In June 2009, he joined German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), technical part of Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as a Project expert. In these positions, he led and supervised the regional grounding and operations of the regional offices.
He obtained his Masters and BSS degrees from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. He was also educated on LLB part-1 from National University and continues his study. He completed 3 months certificate course on Human Resource Management Competencies (HRMC) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University. Alongside, he attended several trainings during the professional life, especially on Communication Development , Team building training and Resources mobilization from GTZ; EC-proposal writing from India; Purchase, procurement and Inventory from MDS-Consultant; and Training on Income Taxes from BD-jobs training.
