Md. Mahbub Hasan
Mahbub has been working in BIGD as a Research Associate since December 2013 and was involved in the project ‘Impact Evaluation of the DFID Program to Accelerate Improved Nutrition for the Extreme Poor in Bangladesh, Phase-2’. In the project he assisted in preparing checklist for qualitative work, collecting data using qualitative methods like FGD, Case Study, KII, IDI, PRA, life history and observation, transcribing field reports, and assisted senior researcher in data compilation, analysis and baseline report writing.
Prior to joining BIGD, he worked in the Research and Evaluation Division of BRAC in ‘BRAC health centre study’ and ‘Exploring ways of promoting climate adaptive technologies in agriculture in South-west region of Bangladesh’. Mahbub completed his Bachelors and Masters in Anthropology from the University of Jahangirnagar. His area of interest in research is Gender Issues. He has participated in ‘Mix Method Workshop’ in June 2014 organised by IFPRI to present qualitative findings to IDS representatives.
He participated in the national seminar on ‘Can Social Protection Contribute to Social Inclusion?’ organised by BIGD and ODI team.
His fields of interest are sustainable development, Gender and Health issues, .
